On Saturday April 7th the Warhawks took on Rock Valley Community College in a varsity reserve match and Lawrence University.
Rock Valley was a varsity reserve match that allowed our players not normally in the lineup to get some match experience. The Warhawks ended up playing great only losing 1 game in 9 matches.
After Rock Valley the Warhawks hosted Lawrence University. Doubles started out great as the 'Hawks lost not more than 3 games in any of the doubles matches. The great playing did not stop there. The 'Hawks won in singles at 2 through 6 singles, including great wins by McGlashen, Scanlan, and Porter at 3, 5, and 6 respectively. The only loss of the day for the 'Hawks was at 1 singles where Jason Dunn from Lawrence played an amazing match to defeat Byron Balkin in a third set tiebreaker. In fact it was the only time all day that a Warhawk had dropped a set.
Next up for the 'Hawks is Gustavus Adolphus College, April 14th in West Bend, WI at Pleasant Valley Racket Club at 1:00pm. On the 15th the 'Hawks will host Elmhurst College and Carroll College at the UWW Tennis courts for Senior Day. Matches will start at 9:30am.
